- Press "Start" in the public puzzle raffle
- This raffle talks about fixing a TV. We have the "broken-tv", which is a png file and some notes about "fixing" it, which is another image.
The last one contains hidden notes in hexadecimal, as hinted by the show name the fictional guy talked about.
These are "HxD", "png" and "chomiks". From here I'll explain each step.
- First line refeers to the recommended tool to use when fixing the image, which is the HxD hex editor
( https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ ), although any other should do the thing.
- Second one simply refeers that, once downloaded, one should open the damaged file with the tool, which will show an hex grid and it's equivalent in ascii.
- Third line talks about removing anormalities, which are actually "chomiks". If we try to search through the entire file, we'll find out there are 6 ocurrences of the word "chomik". Removing them (either from the hex or from the ascii), will show the original image.
- The image has a lot of stuff going on in it, but there is a clear indicator on what to do in the form of the pink colour. The pink elements marked are "octal" "numbers" and 9 numbers below it. It is clear then these are octal encoded, and decoding them in the secret order hidden as small numbers, we'll get the final answer to this first raffle: Cl1pPeD'!
- In the entered message, we will get access to another raffle, in which after some random lore we get a series of binary strings, 6 of them, which means each one contains an url fragment to the next raffle. We are told to check it's "true colors", and we can do that by inspecting element. Doing so will show that certain parts in each line are marked with a different color each from the rest, with numbers 1-6.
Decoding each one of these segments in the order marked will give us "WUFYK5", which is the url string for the final raffle.
- At the end one last question must be answered: "Who is getting added into Fortnite, according to the teletext?"
The fixed image TV if we remember is actually a teletext menu, and if we look before the pink numbers, we will see the next line:
"THE GRIM AXEW ??? IN FORTNITE :O!!!!"
Following the formatting in the image or the hidden hint in the question, the answer will be THE GRIM AXEW.
